Europa Pro 2020 – Review – Controversy?

Europa Pro is over and we got our results! Big Ramy tested positive for Covid so he was not in the mix but we still had an amazingly good line up.

Not only that the top 5 was a really high caliber of competitors, but the rest of the lineup didn’t lack in quality either. The outcome may have seemed controversial in a sense, it might not have been what we expected by the way the judges were moving the athletes on stage but it’s our own fault to come up with these kinds of conclusions.

There is no official rule of that sort, it’s just our best assumption which is almost always correct but apparently not always. The winner of the show, James Hollingshead would have definitely challenged even Big Ramy had he competed, but even very much off Big Ramy would probably not fall under that second spot.

Lucas Osladil, with all his flaws, absolutely did deserve that runner-up position and Rafael Brandao deserved the 3rd spot, as they have both brought an Olympia line up worthy physiques.

The top 3 will collide again in about 2 months and maybe the outcome will be different at that time. Regan Grimes and Samson Dauda will still have to try to win another show or, rather, to qualify based on points, which is highly likely.
