Born and raised in Southern California, Breon Ansley was a Big 12 defensive back and played arena football in the early 2000s before an injury prematurely ended his football career. Returning home, he began seeking work as an actor, winning roles in commercials for top brands such as Mountain Dew, McDonald’s, Samsung, Chevrolet, and Walgreen’s.
At the same time, Breon remained committed to physical fitness and promoting healthy lifestyles, which led him to become a Certified Personal Trainer in 2008. As a trainer, Breon was surrounded by many friends and acquaintances who were bodybuilders and competed in major events. It was only a matter of time before he decided to join them.
Breon achieved success rapidly and turned professional in July of 2013 at the NPC USA Championship in Las Vegas – just a year after starting training. In 2015, he took the year off to focus on a winning physique.
By 2016, he made the switch to the new IFBB Classic Physique division and took first place in July 2016 at the NPC Prestige Crystal Cup in Boca Raton, Florida. This win qualified Breon for a coveted spot at Mr. Olympia, the most prestigious bodybuilding contest in the world. In September of 2016, Breon took fourth place at the inaugural Mr. Olympia Classic Physique, which qualified him for a shot at the upcoming 2017 Mr. Olympia contest.
In 2017, Breon competed and won at the IFBB New York Pro in May. With that win, he became the front-runner for the upcoming Mr. Olympia.
And, on September 15, 2017, in Las Vegas Nevada, Breon blew away his competition to win the second-ever Mr. Olympia Classic Physique Olympia title.
