Breon Ansley

2x Mr. Olympia Classic

Rowland Heights, CA
196 LBS

Born and raised in Southern California, Breon Ansley was a Big 12 defensive back and played arena football in the early 2000s before an injury prematurely ended his football career. Returning home, he began seeking work as an actor, winning roles in commercials for top brands such as Mountain Dew, McDonald’s, Samsung, Chevrolet, and Walgreen’s.

At the same time, Breon remained committed to physical fitness and promoting healthy lifestyles, which led him to become a Certified Personal Trainer in 2008. As a trainer, Breon was surrounded by many friends and acquaintances who were bodybuilders and competed in major events. It was only a matter of time before he decided to join them.

Breon achieved success rapidly and turned professional in July of 2013 at the NPC USA Championship in Las Vegas – just a year after starting training. In 2015, he took the year off to focus on a winning physique.

By 2016, he made the switch to the new IFBB Classic Physique division and took first place in July 2016 at the NPC Prestige Crystal Cup in Boca Raton, Florida. This win qualified Breon for a coveted spot at Mr. Olympia, the most prestigious bodybuilding contest in the world. In September of 2016, Breon took fourth place at the inaugural Mr. Olympia Classic Physique, which qualified him for a shot at the upcoming 2017 Mr. Olympia contest.

In 2017, Breon competed and won at the IFBB New York Pro in May. With that win, he became the front-runner for the upcoming Mr. Olympia.

And, on September 15, 2017, in Las Vegas Nevada, Breon blew away his competition to win the second-ever Mr. Olympia Classic Physique Olympia title.

Career Highlights

MAR 2018
SEP 2017
MAY 2017

1st Place | Arnold Classic - Classic Physique

Breon took nothing for granted and displayed an ever better overall physique at the Arnold than the one that earned him the Olympia crown. Ansley also has the advantage of a charismatic stage presence, and executes his mandatories and evening posing routine with passion and athletic grace that represents bodybuilding at its best. While he faced a stiff challenge, he sealed the deal every time the top placers revealed their back poses. Head-to-toe, he has one of the most complete packages in the sport that’s built on eliminating weaknesses. Arnold Schwarzenegger himself should be pleased that the first Arnold Sports Festival Classic Physique champ in history is Breon Ansley.

1st Place | Mr. Olympia - Classic Physique

The 2017 New York Pro champ simply nailed his conditioning and detail. The 195-pound competitor has expertly proportioned his physique into the highest standards of the Classic ideal: wide shoulders, thin waist, sweeping quads, and tightly etched abdominals, all of it packed with high-quality muscle density. It’s difficult to believe Breon once competed in the 212-pound division, and his transformation to his current Classic aesthetics should inspire other larger bodybuilders to give this fast-growing category a try. A superb poser with pleasing lines and muscle control, Ansley displayed a high degree of class and professionalism, and will be a tremendous ambassador for the Classic Physique division.

1st Place | IFBB NY Pro - Classic Physique

Displaying a symmetrical and balanced physique with shredded conditioning, Breon took first place in the highly competitive Classic Physique division at the IFBB New York Pro championships Saturday night in White Plains, New York. With the victory, he immediately became the front-runner to take the coveted Mr. Olympia Classic Physique contest scheduled for September 15 in Las Vegas.

4th Place | Mr. Olympia - Classic Physique

Breon takes 4th at the 52nd Mr. Olympia contest that was held on September 16–17, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

1st Place | NPC USA Championships

Breon wins the middleweight NPC USA Bodybuilding Championship held in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 26-27, 2013
