10 Unbelievably Smart Questions People Are Asking About Real Keto™

1. What’s a keto diet?

The keto (a.k.a. ketogenic) diet is very low in carbs, which helps you lose body fat and keep it off.

2. What do you mean by “very low”? Like, would my daily can of Coke have to go?

Generally, we’re talking about 30 grams of carbs a day or less on a keto diet. So, yes, the can of Coke would have to go. (A 12-fl-oz can of Coke has 39 g of carbs.) Sorry.

3. Is Real Keto™ a diet?

No. Real Keto™ is our line of dietary supplements that we specifically formulated to help people on a keto diet get better results.

4. What kind of results?

Mainly, greater fat loss and performance.

5. And what are “carbs,” by the way?

Carbs, or more formally, “carbohydrate” (the singular and plural are both spelled the same), generally refers to sugars and starches. For instance, the sugar in a cola drink or the starch in potatoes.

6. What’s “real” about Real Keto™ ?

We say the products are real because the formulas make sense; they’re based in reality. For instance, unlike other brands that sell supplements targeted towards keto dieters, we don’t use ingredients like ketones or MCTs that can actually reduce your ability to lose body fat on a keto diet.

7. Are you saying that supplementing with ketones and MCTs will make me fat?

No. We wish it were that simple! What we’re saying is that if the main reason you’re on a keto diet is to lose body fat, then supplementing your diet with ketones and MCTs is unnecessary and may be counterproductive. Here’s why.

As stated above, when you go on a keto diet, you eat very little carbohydrate -e.g., 30 grams or less daily. Carbohydrate -specifically, glucose (a.k.a. blood sugar) is your body’s preferred fuel. By “fuel,” we mean something it can burn to provide energy to sustain the function of your cells and tissues -life, in short!

When you reduce your intake of carbs, this reduces your body’s supply of glucose. In turn, this forces it to burn more fat as fuel. It normally gets it from fat stored on your body (“body fat”) and in the food you eat (“dietary fat”).

8. What’s this got to do with ketones?

Whether the fat comes from your own body or from food, not all of it is is burned directly. Instead, some of it is converted into what are known as ketones. In turn, ketones can be burned as fuel. (Why this system exists is beyond the scope of this answer. Suffice to say, it’s essential to your survival. ????)

If you’re trying to lose body fat, then you want to burn as much of it as possible. You also want to burn as much of the fat in your diet as possible. The more body fat you burn, whether directly or indirectly (i.e. via ketone formation), the faster you’re going to lose it. And the more dietary (food) fat your body burns, the less likely it is to get stored.

Which brings us back to supplementing with ketones and MCTs. Based on everything we just discussed, you can now understand why, if the main reason you’re on a keto diet is to lose fat, supplementing your diet with ketones or MCTs (a type of fat) isn’t necessary and may be counterproductive. Every ketone or MCT molecule that you supplement your diet with is one less ketone or fat molecule from body fat or food that would have been burned instead.

9. What’s a “keto plateau” and what does this have to do with Real Keto™ ?

When most people go on a keto diet, their main -though not necessarily their only- goal is to lose weight, specifically, body fat.

On a keto diet, it’s not uncommon to lose a bunch of weight at first and then hit what’s known as a “plateau.” You see that you’re no longer getting leaner, or at least not as quickly any more. This is because fat loss has stopped or slowed down. We call this a “keto plateau.”

Real Keto™ Fat Burner helps you prevent keto plateaus and, if you’ve already encountered one, break through it.

10. What is “keto fatigue”? It sounds like something you made up.

We wish keto fatigue were make-believe!

The keto diet can affect your performance. In some scenarios it can be positive; in others, negative.

For instance, it’s not uncommon for bodybuilders and anyone else who lifts weights regularly to experience symptoms including:

  • loss of energy and focus
  • loss of muscle strength and stamina
  • general reduction in exercise tolerance
  • increased susceptibility to overtraining (or what feels like overtraining)
  • muscles that look and feel “flat”
  • difficulty getting and keeping a pump

These are symptoms of what we call “keto fatigue.” Real Keto™ Pre-Workout helps prevent and break through keto fatigue.
